Storm Heaven

Aaron and I are extremely moved by all the generosity we have received over the past week. It has been so very moving to feel so loved and cared for. Words cannot express our gratitude.

This week has been one of the hardest weeks of our lives. And we once again come to you asking for prayers and to storm heaven.

As per the previous post, we had been speaking with a birth mom of twins, a boy and a girl, for a few days. Then this past Sunday, she called and said that she had chosen us to be the adoptive parents of her babies. We were beyond thrilled and overjoyed.

On Tuesday, our birthmom went to the Dr. She was not feeling great and thought she had popped a stitch. She didn’t, but she did have a fever and was tired. So, the Dr.s did a flu and COVID test. She got her results back on Wednesday morning. She was/is positive for COVID. They wanted her to bring in the babies immediately, to be tested. She did. They were positive as well.

At that time all three were admitted to the hospital. The babies are in the NICU. All three had fevers and were not breathing great. This was Wednesday. By Friday both babies were placed on ventilators.

We have been in contact with the birth mom, but our communication is sporadic, as she is battling COVID herself. As of yesterday, the babies fever’s had not broken.

As you can imagine, this week has been extremely hard and painful. As the adoption isn’t final, and HIPAA, there isn’t much Aaron and I can do, but pray. Pray. And pray some more.

I am sure you have a lot of questions, but we simply do not have answers at this time. We are just praying for health and recovery.

I toiled about posting anything about this, but my lil mamma’s heart is so very worried. These little souls can use all the prayers they can get. A simple google search will tell you how serious this is in regards to 3 week early newborns. Please keep these babies and their birth mom in your prayers. Please keep Aaron and I in your prayers, as this is bringing up a lot of pain from the loss of babies we have never held. Please pray for miraculous healings and these babies come home to us.

We love you all and deeply appreciate your support and prayers.

-Aaron & Kiki
